Susana E. Canseco represents landowner and land trusts in drafting and negotiating conservation easements and represents landowners on Texas water law matters.

Biography

Susana was raised in Del Rio, Texas and Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. In addition to the practice of law, Susana also runs her family’s beef cattle ranch in Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, which provides her personal experience in many of the same issues her clients face as landowners. In the years between graduating from law school and her current law practice, Susana owned and ran a company that produced and sold grassfed beef in San Antonio. Susana graduated from Del Rio High School in 1997, received her bachelor’s degree in History from Harvard University in 2001, and her JD from The University of Texas School of Law in 2007, where she edited student notes for the Texas Environmental Law Journal. Susana was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2007 and clerked for the Honorable Judge Lee Yeakel of the Western District of Texas from 2007-2009. Susana and her husband Brandon Seale have four young children. In her spare time, Susana rides horses and manages a handful of properties around San Antonio.
